Achieva Credit Union Raises Nearly $39K for Local Charities

CLEARWATER, FL (July 16, 2008) Through Achieva Credit Union’s community relations efforts, its employees raised $15,000 to benefit All Children’s Hospital, and $23,882 to benefit the American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay for Life this year – totaling $39,000 in charitable contributions. Achieva is a corporate co-sponsor of these two charities.
Achieva employees dedicate their time and money annually, to benefit these and other local charities, with their “Children’s Miracle Network” and “ACS Relay for Life” Committees holding a series of events to raise additional funds. Employee events include bake sales, themed breakfasts and lunches, and more. Achieva volunteers staff the phone banks at The All Children’s Hospital Telethon, a campsite at the ACS Relay Tarpon Springs, and participate in the Credit Union Cruise for Kids Motorcycle Ride (which Achieva Credit Union also co-sponsors). Credit union members generously open their hearts and wallets, purchasing seasonally-themed beanie bears and chances to win flat screen TVs and spectacular holiday baskets filled with gift cards, goodies, and other items donated by Achieva employees. One hundred percent of the sales proceeds go to charity.
"Achieva and its employees have long supported the All Children’s Hospital, ACS Relay for Life, and other local charities,” stated Gary Regoli, Achieva Credit Union’s President and CEO. “Many employees, their family members, and friends can personally attest to the good that All Children’s Hospital and the ACS Relay does. The best way to show our thanks is to give back to them, so that they can continue to support the communities that Achieva Credit Union also serves.”
